When I first download the app, what are the next steps?

Once you download the Refill Assistant app, you will be asked to enter our pharmacy’s ZIP code. Our
Zip code is 61614 then select Preckshot Compounding Pharmacy. Enter a 4-digit PIN number that you will remember, your contact and caregiver/doctor details. Please ALLOW the app to send Notifications. That’s it – you are ready to go.

How do I order a new prescription with the mobile app?

Press the REFILL PRESCRIPTION button on the opening screen, enter your PIN number and then press the + or New Order button. Enter the prescription details. You can also take a photo of the
prescription.

How do I know the pharmacy has received my order?

Once you submit the prescription order, a Thank You message appears stating the pharmacy has received your order.

How do I order for someone else?

Please go to the SETTINGS icon (looks like a Gear icon) to Manage Patients. You can edit, add or remove patients from the app. Then just order as you would for yourself.

Do I need to bring my original prescription when using the mobile app to order a new script?

Yes, the pharmacist must review the original prescription before dispensing the medication. This is a regulatory requirement.

I made a mistake with my order, what should I do?

Open the relevant order in the app and press the UPDATE button. Please modify the order and press save. We will get a notification that you have made a change to the order.

Prescription Transfer & Refill Questions

How do I transfer prescriptions when my pharmacy closes?

If your current pharmacy is closing, you can call Preckshot Pharmacy and we’ll handle the transfer for you. We’ll work directly with your previous pharmacy to move your prescription safely and accurately.

What happens to prescriptions when a pharmacy shuts down?

When a pharmacy closes and records aren’t available, we’ll contact your doctor to get your prescription handled.

Who can help me transfer prescriptions in Peoria?

Our licensed pharmacists at Preckshot Pharmacy can assist you. Just contact us with your information and prescription details, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Can my prescriptions be transferred automatically if my pharmacy closes?

Sometimes yes — when a pharmacy closes, they may proactively transfer prescriptions to a nearby location. But you are always welcome to choose Preckshot, and we can initiate the transfer for you.

Do I need to call my doctor to transfer a prescription?

Usually no. Preckshot Pharmacy can contact your previous pharmacy to request the transfer. You only need to call your doctor if your current prescription has no refills left or if the prescriber needs to re-authorize it.

How long does it take to transfer a prescription?

Most prescription transfers take a few hours to 1 business day, depending on how quickly the two pharmacies communicate and whether there are valid refills remaining.

What information do I need to transfer my prescriptions?

When you request a transfer, we’ll need:

  • Your full name and date of birth
  • The name of your current/previous pharmacy
  • The prescription name or prescription number (if you have it)
  • Your contact information (phone/email)

Can I transfer my prescriptions to a pharmacy closer to my home?

Yes. If your prescription is valid and has refills left, we can help you transfer it to Preckshot Pharmacy

Is there a fee to transfer prescriptions to a new pharmacy?

No. At Preckshot Pharmacy, we do not charge patients a fee to transfer their prescriptions from another pharmacy.

What if I need a refill while my prescription is being transferred?

Let us know — we’ll check on the transfer status and try to coordinate so you don’t run out of your medication. In many cases, we can hold or order what you need once the transfer is complete.

Can I transfer multiple prescriptions at once?

Yes. You can request that Preckshot Pharmacy transfer all of your active prescriptions in one go. We’ll coordinate with your previous pharmacy to get everything.

Can I transfer prescriptions from an online or mail‑order pharmacy?

Yes. Preckshot Pharmacy can accept transfers from other pharmacies, including mail-order or online ones, as long as the prescriptions are still valid and there are refills left.

How do I transfer prescriptions for my child or an elderly parent?

If you are authorized (a parent, guardian, or power of attorney), you can request the transfer on their behalf. We may need to verify your relationship and identity before proceeding.

Can I transfer my prescriptions out of state?

Yes — Illinois law allows you to transfer prescriptions from another state into Illinois, as long as the prescription is valid and complies with state and federal regulations.
